Sofia. No layoffs are envisaged in the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) and the company will not join the list of planned 10% layoffs, Deputy Executive Director of Holding BDZ Chavdar Trendafilov told journalists after launching a set of checks of the railway service and passenger safety, FOCUS News Agency reported.
He added that retirements in the company accounted for around 10% roughly and that’s why the BDZ would not slash 10% of its administration.
The BDZ and National Railway Infrastructure Company are the biggest employers and have enough personnel. There are even areas in which the staff are not enough, he noted.
