“We have worked out a completely new plan for restructuring and recovery of the BDZ Holding for the next ten years,” said Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications, Danail Papazov, speaking at parliament during the question time, in response to a question asked by MP Ivaylo Moskovwki with the oppositional Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) about the privatisation of the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) – Freight Service and the plans for recovery of the state-run company, FOCUS News Agency.
Papazov recalled that the Privatisation Agency terminated the privatisation procedure for the BDZ – Freight Services due to the inability to successfully finalise the procedure with regard to the problems connected with the distained shares of the company.
We have worked out a completely new plan for restructuring and recovery of the BDZ Holding for the next ten years. It will be officially confirmed after it is coordinated with the creditors,” Minister Papazov remarked.
“The individual financial result of the BDZ – Passenger’s Service, on the other hand, is almost BGN 3 million profit for 2012, while company’s private capital amounts to BGN 243 million,” Papazov added.
