February 4, 2014, Tuesday // 12:47
Fallen rocks temporarily interrupted railway traffic in the area of major city of Stara Zagora in southern Bulgaria.
The rock mass of volume some 10 cubic meters fell on the track between the stations of Stara Zagora and Zmeyovo little after midnight.
Work by the teams of the Railroads Infrastructure state company cleared the rocks, restoring traffic around 7.30 am Tuesday, announced the company.
The process is believed to have been triggered by erosion from melting snow.
Four passenger and two freight trains have been cancelled or diveted over the night.
